I am joining IMI Delhi for the batch of 2008-10. From what my experinece is, I can say that, if u hav more than the cut off of IMI (96%ile in Cat'08), and u want one of the best faculty in the country , IMI is the place to be.

Two years ago, when I was in engineering final year, I was not much aware of IMI..but now, thanks to coaching institutes and discussion forums like Pagalguy.com , the pros n cons of an institute are clearly laid in front of you!

Something about IMI:

website:   http://www.imi.edu

International Management Institute (IMI), India established in 1981 was launched in collaboration with IMI Geneva (currently IMD Lausanne). IMIfollows international standard curricula in its programs, which has been enriched by its academic collaborations with International Institute for Management Development (IIMD), Lausanne (erstwhile International Management Institute, Geneva); Faculty of Management, McGill University, Montreal, and Manchester Business School, U.K, prepares participants to successfully manage and lead in an increasingly global business environment. IMI’s educational programs have been recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India.

The corporate world in India, public, private, multinational companies, international consulting firms and other organizations have employed its alumni who are rightly called, the Achievers.

IMI is registered under section 12A(a) as a trust under the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961. The income of the Institute is exempted under section 80G and 10(22) and for research under section 35(I) (iii) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 as an Institution solely for educational purposes.

In keeping with the ideology, IMI offers four postgraduate programs:

Postgraduate Program in Management (PGPM) Postgraduate Program in International Management (PGPIM) Post Graduate Program in Human Resource Management (PGPHRM)

CUT OFF : The pgdm programme this year had a cut off of 96%ile, with 50%ile in each sections.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE: This was followed with GD, which had an essay writing also and then - PI . the process was very smooth and well supported by students of IMI. With the mentioned cut offs, the quality of students can be expected to be one of the bests In India.

The result was declared well 2 days ahead of the scheduled date.this shows how well the administrative department works at IMI. The good work can also be seen as people who have applied for refund of fees, got back the same within 4 working days..

The fees structure is quite  manageable, with tution fees coming 5, 10, 000 for two years. Hostel fees for 55, 000 have to be paid separately for each year.

Sports activities at IMI are a thing to live with..badminton, basketball, cricket, Football are all played (if u get free time) in the campus n hostel arena.Add to that the International level designed auditorium and amphitheatre..

The placement season this year has taken IMI to a new level:

*When It Rains, It Pours…

Nothing sums up the placements season at IMI Delhi better than this age-old idiom. The placements season began on a bright note as the ‘Batch of 2008’ returned from their summer placements with a record breaking number of PPOs (Pre-Placement Offers), including international PPOs from M.B. Holdings, Muscat. Some of the prominent domestic companies who offered PPOs were: Asian Paints, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, DSCL, Firstsource, Genpact, RPG Group, Tata Motors, Vedanta, etc, just to name a few. Interesting to note was that not only did the PPOs span multiple profiles and multiple sectors; they also included lateral level PPOs, most notably with the RPG group offering lateral positions in its corporate cadre at the regional  manager level.

The complete details can be seen at:    https://imi.edu/Display/index.asp?ID=27

IMI has completed 25 years of educational experience last year.

I am looking forward for the next two years with IMI to have an incredible experience..

Please give ur comments for any more details or clarifications, so that I can fullfill all other concerns.

Thank you all!!
