Other day, i wanted to withdraw 1000 rupees from ICICI Bank ATM, and entered accidentally entered 10000. As i don’t have that much amount in the account, transaction was declined. So good so far. Today when i looked at my account statement, i saw line saying "ACCOUNT DECLINE CHARGES" for 28 rupees. I made call to ICICI Customer Care and they told they started penalizing people since June 1st 2009 for trying to withdraw when there are no suffiicient funds.

These banks are finding someways to suck our pockets, in a way you can tell them they are daylight robbers. Be aware while withdrawing amount with insufficient funds.
