After going through all the reviews from the net, I have decided to go with ICIC pro. life term insurance. I have applied through online since it was claimed its just few clicks to get the insurance. As soon as I have entered their website and entered my basic details, I got a call from customer rep. They have called me every 15 minutes to ensure I could apply for term insurance without having any issues. They were very nice and same person called me till I made the payment for the insurance. In fact, I had trouble to make payment, he has found a way of asking me to provide details and deducted my premium. The next step was suppose to be medical check up and uploading other documents. I have uploaded all the required documents and was waiting for medical check up. I have called them few times to complete my medical check up. Thereafter, it was complete silence from ICICI and policy also not issued. I have tried to call many times customer rep. and they didn't have any clue what's the issue. The standard answer is we will escalate and get back to you in 48 hours. I have called them atlas 15+ times in last one month and probably talked to 15+ different customer care reps. I have tried to send mail on this and I used to get standard automated reply, thereafter no response from ICICI. Now, I have paid premium 2 months back and medical test got over 1.5 months back and I have not received my policy. I have asked them to refund my premium since they have not issued the policy and that also not happened. Last week, after many attempts and literally made dharna in the phone, one gentle man told me that OTP(one time password) process to be completed and it has not been done. I have told him that there is an issue how this OTP works and its asking me to take it to pay the premium again. He has asked me to try all operating systems, all network browsers and nothing worked. Again the same standard reply of we will escalate and get back to you.


Nothing has happened till now. Just imagine the struggle of getting insurance at first stage itself. I can't image how ICICI insurance service will be after getting your policy.


We can just ignore this is one of case and just move on support these kind of companies. Its very unfortunate to see how these companies work with out having any escalation mechanism for customers.


Now, I am after ICICI to get policy issued or getting my premium back.
