Effective cashless facility ICICI lomabrds. Review on ICICI Lombard General Insurance

Dear All,

I purchased ICICI lombards health insurance policy in 2008 & God forbids had to undergo knee surgery in Mar'2016.

I opted for cashless facility in one of the network hospitals & I paid only paltry amount for full procedure, as all bills were settled by ICICI lombards within the span of my stay in the hospital. Hence I recommend to go for cashless facility of ICICI lombards.

Only the hitch was their initial sanction was only 25% of the claimed amount, but later they enhanced it as per the request of the hospital.

Procedure for Claim:

1. Take following documents to Counseling department of one of the network hospitals of the insurer:

a) Identity proof

b) Cashless card

c) Doctors letter mentioning the need for the surgery

d) blood reports & other relevant medical reports

1. Then counseling department will intimate the TPA(Third Party Administrator) of the Hospital, which in turn will send the estimated bill to the  insurer

3.Within 48 hrs you will be intimated about the initial sanction(if all documents and information is authentic)

1. At the time of discharge the final bill is sent by TPA to insurer, which gets approved in 3-4 hrs.
