I met with an accident on August 8th, 2015 and was driving Skoda Octavia. The very same day the car was sent to Skoda’s workshop for repair, but after a few days I was provided with an estimate much more then the IDV of vehicle. So, the surveyor(Sarabjit Singh) from Sec-16 Noida branch confirmed that the car will have to go in total loss as the estimate was more than value of the vehicle.
The surveyor then told me that as they could not get any bidder, I will have to retain the car and they would settle the case by paying me their liability. After a meeting with Sarabjit Singh and his manager, Anup Singh(AM Customer Service Motor), on 15th September 2015, I was told that I will be provided all the details with the offer they are going to make through an e-mail the next day but they have been delaying the process since then.
First of all, it is not my problem that ICICI Lombard is not able to get the desired value for my car. If their employees are so inefficient, the company shouldn’t have sold me such a policy in the first place.
So this is to inform ICICI Lombard about the inefficiency of their employees and the mental harassment they have put me through in the past 1.5 months. I never expected a company like ICICI Lombard to be such a fraud. I have finally decided to file a case against the company in the CONSUMER COURT and charge them for MENTAL HARASSMENT. They will have to give me complete compensation that I am eligible for and separately will have to pay lawyer fee, interest, and 2 lakhs for mental harassment.
