Mehdi Bulsara I purchased my I20 Era in May 2010 and when my vehicle was about 2 years old on Pune-Mumbai Expressway I faced similiar problem. My ignition key got stuck up and I could not start my car nor I could remove my keys. I tried to contact Hyundai through customer care number and they suggested I tow my car to the nearest service station. It was an horrifying experience as I had my family along with and in the middle of night I encounter this problem. Anyway after trial and error method luckily my keys moved and I could start my car. Later on I communicated with the Hyundai company and they were deaf ears to my problem and they could not offer any suitable solution. In my family we have used different models and various brands of car and none of them have had this problem and this is a unique problem in Hyundai car and sorry to say Hyundai company is not bothered to look into it and help their own customers. If this issue was experienced in USA the company would have been taken to task but In India its the CHALTA HAI attitude and our consumer initiatives are also dormant and ineffective. Since last 6 years I have faced this problem nearely 2-3 times and every time you approach the service station they talk about replacing the key set, and every time after trial and error method my problem is resolved. Any way I take a chance because if it does not work then I have to replace and spend lot of money on replacing a defective key unit supplied by Hyundai. I think Hyundai company should seek advice on lock and key stuff from our brothers in Aligarh who will provide better lock n key units
