External body
As every youngster I am a style and speed freak. It has a stylish look with different colour variants like white, black, blue, grey and red. The i20 has a good wheel base and a good ground clearance which gives it a more sporty look. If we talk about the interiors, the i20 has fibre interiors of dark colour which give a sober look. The front and rear bumbers are round and attractive, the curves on the rear doors are of more sporty look. The car weight of the car is 1500 kgs. This weight is felt when we open the doors they are quite heavy. The headlights give an agressive look to the car. On the other hand the rear light giaves a look as if the car is smiling. The shiny metal strip below the bonet completes the front look of the car. The supspension is slight hard.
Interiors
The screen on the dash board gives a more detail look. The screen displays the outside temperature, radio channels, trip kilometres and sound controls. The air conditioner is amazing, it has an uber cooling system which rotates the cool air within the car cabin. The rear seat is very comfortable. the i20 can easily accommodate 3 person. My height is 6 feet I do not face any problem regarding the leg space. the dash board, speed o meter, window switches and radio control buttons have blue lights which looks fabulous at night. The cabin height is also sufficient for tall persons. The i20 has a plus point of safty, it has a siren which alerts the driver if he/she forgets to wear the seatbelt. The interior fibres have the colour combination of grey, cream and silver which is attractive. The steering is complete fibre however a leather finsh on the steering would have been much better. The seats are of synthetic leather matching the dash board colours and is also water proof. It has four inbuilt speaker in the downside of the doors which does not irritate the ears but gives good sound. The USB and AUX slots complete the interior of the car.
Performance and mileage
The i20 has a 1200 cc engine with 5 speed and 1.2 litre valve. i20's performance is a way better compared to other 1200 cc cars. i20 has additional feature of front and rear glass fog remover. i20 is good value for money, however the mileage is just 10 kilometres per litre. the maintenance is zero in the first 4 years. The drive is smooth. It easily touches 150 kms per hour even when the car is completly occupied from inside. At this price i20 is a good car in terms of performance.
Drive experience
Acceleration- the engine is just 1200 cc but gives quite good acceleration
Clutch-it is soft and does not cause leg pains in traffic drives
Braking-the brakes are just perfect for the car, the engine has good power and to control the power it has good brakes as well
Gear-the gear shift is smooth as silk however it sometimes the reverse gear does shift in the first time. The gear has no issues when the driver drags to car for high speed.
Top speed-183 kms per hour
Handling-the power steering gives more control on the car and the turning radius the also very good, it gives good control even on the top speed. The weight of the car keeps the car on the ground and does not let it hope on high speed.
Pros- it is a good value for money car, best in class performance, stylish interiors and exteriors, low maintainance.
Cons-the mileage is just 10 kmpl which is an issue for city travelling, the service persons behave as if they are doing a favour by providing paid services.
Conclusion-it is good car money wise, performance wise and look wise. However, the fuel efficiency is comparatively less. Rest the car is amazing. It could be said as a family car but I feel it is best for youngsters.
