My Little Heaven on wheels. Review on Hyundai Grand i10

Its my first car. I wanted the best in least possible budget. My budget was 5lakhs. My first choice was Maruti Suzuki Wagon R, but was confused by launch of Stingray. My further search helped me finalize Hyundai i10. During my visit to showroom for test drive of i10, I also took trial of Grand i10. As it was launched just a week before, I was unaware of the model in market.

I was stunned by its huge huge leg space. Interiors of the car are just awesome. I booked the car on 15th Sept 2013 and got delivery on 1st November 2013. Model I purchased is Hyundai Grand i10 Sportz petrol.

Space:

Its having awesome space. Its the prime requirement for a tall person like me, This car has excellent Leg Space, Boot Space as well as head space.

Design:

Design of the car is unique and very soothing for the eyes. Also car looks like a big huge car.

Engine:

The 1200cc kappa engine is really gr8. Its smooth and gives instant response. Reaches 100KMPH in no time. Even at speeds of 120KMPH its smooth and silent.

Gears:

Gears of the car are very smooth. Never gets stuck. Clutch is also very smooth.

Brakes:

Brakes of the car are very powerful and brings the car to immediate halt without loss of control of car even on hard braking.

Noise and vibration:

Cabin of the car is well designed and car engine noise or vibration is never felt. Many a times I've by mistake tried to start my car engine even when it was in ON condition. Few times I've come out of the car with engine ON and realised my mistake when car gave warning tone when trying to lock the car.

Suspension:

Car suspension is just perfect. even on rough roads, the ride is smooth. Even the back seat passenger is comfortable seated.

Steering:

Its really smooth and responsive. Can be easily controlled even by a single finger.

Air Conditioning:

It is really working upto the mark and cools the cars fast enough and engine response is still good enough with AC on. Still not tried the heater.

Music System:

It is also installed with good enough speakers. Bass and treble just perfect to my liking Micro antenna on roof is powerful enough to catch even weak radio signals. My mobile's radio, and mini personal radio also can't catch those weak signals.

Unique and Exclusive features:

This car comes with a smart key. Starts with a button on dashboard. For safety purpose, the car engine starts only when the clutch is fully floored. Rear seat AC vent and power supply is very useful. Electrically adjustable and electric folding ORVM. Speedometer Console keeps on guiding the driver to raise or lower to required gear number to gain better mileage. Cooling in glove box.

Tyres:

Comes pre-installed with  tubeless Radial tyres giving much more control of car over roads.

Mileage:

I don't know how to check the mileage of the car. But my average calculations have given the result of 18KMPL on highways with AC ON.

Only had faced one problem in first month of purchase that the battery used to drain fully. but was rectified within 2 hours by an engineer from Chennai. It was due to a battery charge controller malfunction.

I'm really satisfied with my cars performance and would recommend it to anyone as the features of this car makes it feel like am high end luxury car.
