I have brought this car (in april 2008) after doing a lot of study in the same website. However I decided to write a review only when I have used it to the extent that I can talk about every detail in the review and from my experience. I have already crossed the 10, 000 KM mark.
Space Inside: The car is no less then a family sedan in this regard, This has been the most influncing factor in deciding the car. Me and my daughter (3 years now) sleep in the back seat while my wife drives. we have enough space to sit like at home and play around. Many a times when we are coming back home late in the night, My daugher goes to the back seat and sleeps comfortably. My parents enjoy the ride behind and there is ample space for my daughter too with them. Couple of time we have traveled from whiletfield to Majestic (Bangalore) in peak trafic with 4 people in the back set. I have been able to carry a standard size Study table in my car, thaks to the unique double folding feature.
Dealer Satisfaction: I brought this car from Trident in Sadashiva nagar in bangalore, The sales person was Vikram, He is a professonal and did every thing possible to enure a smooth delivery. However there was one hitch.... When I bought the car I chose the base version becasue I did not like the fake wook finish on dashboard in the higher version, that time I asked the sales person if I can get the power windows done later? He replied affermative. How ever it turns out that the Original power windoes will require 75 K plus and the base version is aproxx 50K less then higher version.
Fuel Consumption: 10 in City no more....... 17 + in long drive ( ihave been to one long drive to Shimoga)
Comfort:Very easy to handle , Gear's are as smooth as butter on hot pan..... View can be a problem for new / short drivers but a week's careful driving will get that straight
Reliability:Its a new car it has to be reliable.... Will make sence to write this column after 2 more years.
Looks: I like it, that's why I brought it
Performance: Big negative. Very slow pick up. Change to gear 1 required at every speed bump (This is the biggest nusance in bagalore). If any car with 1300 CC engine can give same milage and better pick up then I recommend the 1300CC. This car is a 1100CC and expected to give better milage.
*Final: Buy it if
1) You value Space and Comfort
2) You are a paitent driver
3) Have elderly at home who join you on back seat (Is very comfortable in the back seat)
4) Have a driver
5) You go on Longdrives out of city
Do not Buy if
1) You like Speed and Pickup
2) Do lot of overtaking
3) You never sit in the back seat
4) you have Small (husband, wife, kids) family
My Opnion: I like this CAR but home it was better in Milage.
