The Hughes team has got only one thing right. Catching hold of premier
institutes like IIMCalcutta and XLRI to use their platform to deliver distance
learning for working executives. However,
the postives/good points end just
there. They have zero/negative customer focus. They will call you umpteen number
of times when you have to pay instalments for course fees. But if you have a
problem God only save you. And rest assure that problems will be aplenty.
The
fact that you are a working executive is thrown to the wind. By misfortune if
you happen to miss a class the ordeal that you have to go through to attend a
recorded session will be the first blow. Can you imagine there is almost no
feedback mechanism to tell the profs as to whether their course material is
appropriate or needs change. 2-3 profs are a shame in the name of IIM status.
Mostly looks like they are not all motivated to teach via this medium.
The whole

Overall a sad execution story to a great Idea/medium.
