Did you know that smokers are 50% more likely to quit smoking AND remain smoke-free if they have a support system of family and friends? Quitting smoking is a difficult journey and on average a smoker
will attempt quitting 6 times before they are successful, but family and friends increase those chances of success. It is critical to remember to provide support and reinforcement for the smallest accomplishments.

As a family member of a former smoker, support really does help and it does make a difference and you do not need to be a former smoker to be a source of support.

If you are a smoker or the friend or family member of a smoker who wants to quit, please check out The Truth Against Tobacco’s website
