The highly anticipated new Honda Jazz was launched in India on Wednesday, 8 July, with a price tag starting at ?5.3 lakh.
New Honda Jazz, the premium hatchback that joined the league of Hyundai Elite i20 and Maruti Swift, is offered in both diesel and petrol engine options in the country and comes in 12 trims -five diesel and seven petrol variants including two CVT.
This is the first in the Jazz line-up to get diesel engine options and the diesel model of new Jazz is tuned to deliver the best in class fuel efficiency of 27.3kmpl. New Honda Jazz, a spacious and stylish hatchback, packs features like LED tail and stop lamp, tail gate spoiler, rear micro-antenna, 15-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps and turn indicators on OVRMs.
Inside the cabin, Honda Jazz gets host of features like Auto A/C with touch screen control panel, three-eye meter array with Eco-assist function, steering wheel with buttons for audio and hands free control, advance integrated audio with 12.7cm(5") screen and rear parking camera with multiple views.
The interior of Jazz comes in two interior colour themes - Premium beige and Sporty black theme.
On the safety front, the model packs Driver and Front Passenger Dual SRS-Airbags and Anti-Lock Brake System(ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution(EBD).
Now coming to the engine specifications, under the hood, the new Honda Jazz hatchback packs1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that powers Amaze and Brio can generate power of 90bhp with a torque of 110Nm at 4, 800rpm and 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel motor that can pump 100PS of power and 200Nm torque.
The transmission is taken care by either a 5-speed manual or a CVT with paddle shifters in petrol variants and 6-speed manual transmission in diesel Jazz. The petrol Jazz promises to give a mileage of 19kmpl and the diesel variant is rated to return a mileage of 27.3kmpl.
New Honda Jazz is available in seven colour options - Sunset Orange, Carnelian Red Pearl, Urban Titanium Metallic, Alabaster Silver Metallic, Tafetta White, Golden Brown Metallic and White Orchid Pearl.
