This bike will be best seller soon!!!. Review on Honda Dream Yuga

My home town is the capital of Jharkhand,Ranchi.My father has a 1984 model Bajaj scooter which gives the mileage of a hatchback now! I(we!) needed a bike urgently.I searched over Internet about most suitable 100+ cc bike. I had zeroed in for Honda Dream Yuga,Suzuki Hayate,Hero Passion Plus,TVS Star City and Bajaj Discover 100 cc.

I came to know that Suzuki Hayate is good but has low mileage.TVS Star City and Bajaj Discover has better mileage but after some two years of operation they look too cheap and old even if maintained!!Hero Passion was an option.I went to the Hero Show room at Main Road Ranchi. But, they did not receive me!! I waited and then insisted for a test ride and denied the same!! I came back happy, thinking that Hero Motocorp will soon be on ground as the main partner Honda which used to do all R & D and that is NOT part of Hero Motocorp now !!

My Dream Yuga story !!

I went to the Horizon Honda,Main Road Ranchi on 21 Jun 12.Only few days ago this bike had come to their stock.I was offered the bike for Test ride on my request after showing my Driving License and was provided with a crash helmet!! It was just a Km ride in heavy traffic and I decided to go for it!!

Features I liked

Front Cowl is attractive, though not very different from similar bikes but better among equals.

The Rear suspension is indeed very effective.It`s Five speed adjustable absorber which adjusts as per load and road condition.

My mother was used to scooter but agreed for a Long ride of 140 Km in one go with just one break!!She expressed her desire to become pillion rider frequently!!The Tubeless tyres and Alloy wheels (my Dream Yuga version) ensures minimum chance of tyre deflation and easy repair by self keeping kit.Tyre was made by MRF.

The Front suspension is a long one and provides adequate stability and comfort to me.

The Rear portion has stylish Body colored Grab tail which the manual says that it is made of Aluminum and seems strong!!The attractive graphics on the tank and side cowl make almost all bike lovers head turn.I went for Red colored bike but settled for the evergreen Black color!!You may laugh, but the DY has the LONGEST seat which can easily accommodate one heavy adult and two kids/medium adult!!

MOST IMPORTANT

ENGINE

It has 110 cc refined engine (after all Honda is known for the best engines!!) with Honda Intelligent Ignition Control system.The result is smooth acceleration and mind blowing mileage.I have tested it on a 140 Km run from my home at Kanke Road Ranchi to Rajrappa in Ramgarh and back. The road has 10 km mountainous stretch in between while coming back . As my bike was in Running in period so I did not cross 55 Kmph ON PLAIN ROAD. The ride was silky on the High way as as if almost NIL vibration and less engine sound!!Negotiating the heavy traffic is indeed interesting and it will not be wrong to say the the bike is made for city traffic!! While coming back I encountered mountain road of 10 Km. 2nd and 3rd gear was used and I never needed to use 1st gear even at the steepest gradient!!

WOW WOW WOW

mileage is amazing.When I was handed over the Bike Keys, the bike had run 13 Km.I filled 9 litres(full tank!!) of petrol. The bike showed full tank indicator till 230 Km. I felt as if the Fuel indicator gone unserviceable!! I filled just 4 liters of petrol again after riding 351 Km. That`s mean more than 85Kmpl without any servicing!!!

I want to mention an interesting incident.By the side of the road I was getting the Temporary no. written. I heard an unusual noise. By the time I tried to turn back .I was lying on the floor and my bike turned the opposite side by the impact of the projectile!!Two Bajaj Pulsar bikes lost their control and came skidding towards me and the bike collided with my bike and the rider with me.Amazingly I was unhurt and bike had just one minor scratch!!

That means Dream Yuga is largely accident proof .New buyers simply go for it.
