After some initial research and waiting period of close to one month, finally I got a Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler(black). My experience with the bike has been good so far(about 25 days). The thing I like most of this bike is the ease of control of the bike.

Here are some points I want to mention for the prospective buyers.

  1. Weight and size of the bike allows the first-time bikers to handle and control the bike properly. Official specifications of the bike are available here: https://honda2wheelersindia.com/dazzler/index.html

  2. The disk brakes on both front and rear wheels are lifesavers. You can rely on these powerful brakes while biking on busy streets.

  3. Digital speedometer, odometer and the trip meter are of really good help. The trip meter is very useful if you want to measure a trip distance. You do not have to remember the odometer reading each time to calculate the trip distance:). The tripmeter can be reset with the press of a button on the panel, each time you want to start a new trip.

The digital clock on the front panel is a very useful feature. You do not get distracted anymore to see the watch.

  1. Nice fuel efficiency. 55 kmpl for a 150 cc bike is a fair enough mileage in my point of view.

  2. On the other side of the coin, the availability of accessories like leg-guard, saree-guard etc has been a drawback of the bike. It's always recommended to put a leg-guard on the bike as a safety measure in case of accidents. However the supply of the accessories is not enough. I am still waiting for the availability of the leg-guard for my bike since one month.

Also, the accessories are costly. Leg-guard costs Rs. 580. Saree-guard is Rs. 380.

  1. Not sure if I am experiencing this problem because the bike is still new, but the bike seems like vibrating little bit while riding above 50kmph. I asked the service center about this problem and they cited the same reason. Hopefully this problem should be gone after some more usage.

  2. Absence of kickstart is a concern, but if we trust the HMSI engineers who have entrusted on the maintenance free battery, then we should be good without the kick start.

On the whole, the bike is a nice purchase and you get the value for the money(about Rs. 71500 with accessories). I recommend this bike with 4 out of 5 points. Visit https://smeher.com to contact me for more details.

Update(16-Jan-2011):

Well. by now I have completed second servicing of my bike and my odometer reading shows about 2500 km. So with my experience so far I can add few more lines to my original review on this bike.

  1. I am still very satisfied with the performance of the bike. I don't feel like the bike shaking at speed above 50k anymore. In fact bike feels very normal even at speed around 80-85 kmph(I have gone up to max speed of 95-97kmph).
