Hi guys, I have a black Honda Activa since more than 7 years now.it's one of the best vehicle. I wanted a Bike but dad said we should buy something that everyone could use. So I started my RnD on scooters. After considering all the models & pros cons of all, finally I concluded with Honda Activa which everyone liked the choice too.
We booked it in march 2004 & got it's delivery after 3 months.There is a waiting period for it( at least it was at the time of booking).We decided to buy it coz it could be used by & served the purpose for everyone in the family.even my sister could ride it very easily & comfortably.
The price that time was around Rs.45, 000 including Spare tyre, Safety Rim & Extra Storage compartment.The Dealer, Sai Point gave us a good deal too.We choose black color as everyone liked it.
Activa is a scooter with auto-gear.in simple words it doesn't have a gear to be changed by you, as the speed increases, the gear changes automatically.So it's a great vehicle to ride in city traffic.it has auto-start, so no need to kick it to start it everytime.the seat is big both in width & length, so fits two people very comfortably.The fuel tank is 6 liters & average of around 40, so 1 full tank lasts for about a week in average conditions.
Pick up is good & it is very stable till 70 km/hr speed.it goes till 90 but takes time to reach & also wobbles a little at that speed.the ride experience is very nice for activa.no gear cluth problem.simply hit the accelerator & there you go.ideal for a family where everyone needs to ride.
Looks of the vehicle are very smart.It doesn't look like old type scooters nor like small scooty.It has got good metal body & decent bulky look.Smarter than scooter & well-built than a scooty.The leg space for the rider is also very comfortable.your legs won't hurt even after a long ride
It also has 2 places for storage.one is under the seat & one is optional( you need to pay extra for that).it's below the handle near the foot space.both are big enough & can store enough things.can even keep helmet, bag & many other things in both.
Honda service centre is also good & delivers good service.We got first 5 services free & others were paid.Each time the vehicles was handed over on time. It's a very good vehicle & very useful for full family.I guess the prices have raised to around Rs.55, 000-61, 000 but it's definitely worth it.
I fully recommend Activa to everyone who needs to ride in city everyday.You won't regret your choice
