We bought a SOFA from HomeTown during SALE. We liked the SOFA in the display and henced booked it. Once the SOFA was delivered, in just 2 days we realized that the quality of sofa is not the same as displayed
in the showroom. The quality was also discounted. We made several complaints over phone but no one turned up and nither any action was taken. I went to the showroom personally and met the manager and he promised to look into the matter and revert back to me in 2 days. It has been 2 weeks since then and I havent heard anything from them. Most of the time, the Customer Service phone is engaged. If you are lucky enough, you would get hold of somebody (few names like Permasia / Subash) and they would aks to the same irritating question : "What problem are you facing SIR". Once you describe your problem (I have done it atleast 10 times), they would politely say : "Thank You Sir, I will get back to you in 5 minutes." And that 5 minutes will never end till you call the next time and talk to another guy.
My 2 cent suggestions to who ever planning to go and purchase any non-branded item from HomeTown : Please dont waste your hard earned in HomeTown.
