I was dragged by my mother-in-law, whom i was visiting in bangalore, to see Hometown. This, as per her, was a very different and largest store for home making India has ever seen. She was so excited to
show the store to me that my less enthusiasm twards a home store visit was not noticed (i wanted to visit Central and shop for clothes).
So i found myself entering this big store. I liked the store from point go with the friendly and down to earth welcome by the hoe guides at the reception. Then continued into an amazing trip to discover the store. the range is simply astonsihing - as one of their sales staff put it - they offer everything for home making from a nail to an entire room with furniture, wall paints, flooring, furnishings, furnishings... etc what not. I was remined of some of the stores I have seen in abroad like Ikea or Home Depot. Definately not like anything in india.
Best part was, despite the collection being so vast and beautiful, the pricing was a steal.
I got a very beautiful lamp for my home for Rs.1200 (something similar at another shop, half this shop size, was for double the price) . I also carried a lovely bath accessories set. Infact the bath section display is to die for. Have never seen so many beautiful shower panels displayed at any shop and all of them were live. Yes! I could actually just turn the taps and see the different water jets etc. from behind a glass wall. This is something I always wanted for undersatnding the product.
They have a crazy display of jacuzzi, shower temples with steams and sauna systems from all over the world... drool drool.
I think any one serious about renovating their home should check out this store before deciding.
