Alls well, but why was that for?!. Review on Holy Cow - Sarah Macdonald

Oh well, I am no critic! It is not that I did not like your reading material, I enjoyed it, In fact, I have purchased your initial edition ''Holy Cow'' from one of my fav book stalls in Bangalore.

I was just inquisitive in your travelogue as any other reader would be. And more importantly, the front cover was most attractive, which has Lord Siva in it.

I am a devout Hindu and a helpless one at that! I cant hold anything against anybody. There are none in Hinduism to hold demonstrations and give you death threats, nor hold your country to ransom!

Your book reveals how India is, how a tourist or a foreigner perceives India to be. I liked that. You have opened an Indian readers eye, to the delight of the people and confusion that is prevalent, very much unlike the western world. And then there was Siva on the front cover, with his wide, intelligent eyes, as though saying to the reader that he would be blessed!

I saw the latest edition of the front cover in your book. What have you done to Him, Sarah? He is wearing an ugly looking pink goggles...well, you would have seen it first for yourself, wouldn't u?

His eyes is no more revealed, but he still smiles wearing them..And you thought he likes it? Well, He doesnt need any protection from the Sun, because, we believe he IS the Sun.

I thought you had given him respect by having Him in front of your cover. Now it is demeaning. My body shivered when I saw the latest edition of your book in my fav store.

Whatever that was for, Sarah? Well, you did it to Him. I think I have all my heart to curse you for this! You have made money out of Him. You have covered his eyes with an ugly looking thing, You wont be able to see yourself any more.

I like your book. Please dont hurt the sentiments of a Hindu by having a pair of Goggles on Him!
