Story:

The Hobbit** is a tale of an innocent Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, he never did anything out of the out of the ordinary or unexpected, a respectable hobbit, until one day Gandalf the Grey (disturber of the peace) comes knocking on his door with 13 dwarfs, and the hobbit somehow get thrust into dangerous adventures in search for far-off treasures guarded by fire breathing Smaug.  During the adventure Bilbo discovers hidden skills and proves to be the most useful and important member of the expedition.

J.R.R Tolkien takes the reader through an exciting ride along forests, mountains, rivers and strange riddling creatures.

"as dark as darkness, except for two big round pale eyes in his thin face"

If you liked Lord of the rings you’ll love The Hobbit, the book was cleverly written so many features of the characters you will later find in the trilogy ‘Lord of the rings’ like Gandalf and Gollum and  Elrond’s involvement with Bilbo’s ring.

Tolkien writes the story in a way that is a great read for all ages.  He has detailed description but takes care that it doesn’t gets confusing.
