I bought Hitachi Refrigerator 4 Door 648 Ltrs. capacity in January 2015 looking to its outer look / glossy paint finish . I never knew that the quality of its parts is extra ordinary poor . Exactly 1 day before completing 1 year i.e. in warranty period there was a major breakdown. After vigorous follow-up The Engineer attended the complaint and told that its mother PCB has gone and needs replacement. Anyway after vigorous follow-up we could be able to get its PCB replaced under warranty . Now again after 1 year 2 months the Refrigerator again stopped working . Complaint was lodged with the customer care and requested to get the complaint attended on priority. No doubt they deputed the Engineer on the same day who after checking the Refrigerator informed that the mother PCB which was replaced one year back is non-functional and needs replacement. As he was unaware of the availability of the Mother PCB, he will be submitting his report to his Office and will replace as and when received. You can imagine the quality of the product. Most unsatisfied and uncertainty of servicing and so high cost of repairs and maintenance . I will never recommend to go for this product as its durability is poor, Service and support is poor, maintenance very high, unreliable functioning . Good style and design and ease of cleaning and good outer finish are the last criteria . These have no meaning if the quality is not good and long lasting.
