Pros:
Am using this 1-ton AC for the 3rd year in my top-floor, sun-facing, 150 sq. ft. room in Delhi. Can cool my room efficiently even on the power-saver setting.
Used day and night for 6 months every year - no repairs required yet.
Power consumption is quite low, and I have seen a significant drop in my electricity bills.
Runs quietly if properly serviced and cleaned.
Cons:
Larger than most other 1-ton ACs, so you'll need a wide window.
Has vents on the top through which birds and squirrels can push in sticks and debris, so you'll need to construct some sort of mesh cover that lets the air out, but prevents small animals from shoving junk into your AC.
Hitachi service is slow and unresponsive. Took me 5 days to get an ordinary wet service, after multiple calls and complaint escalation.
Value for money:
As it comes with 7 year warranty with decent sale service, It is worth the price.
