Himesh Reshamia ... now here is a man who has brought about quite a stir in the Indian music market. First he got pretty popular with his hit music direction on various movies. 

Almost everyone agreed his songs were good to hear and made him a hell lot of money.

Then he did something which got the whole of India divided. He began singing.

Well I have to admit , I am not a fan ... atleast not of him as a singer. Some of his music numbers which he directed are quite the music for our ears but once he started singing , he got the people divided with two mindsets. One bunch taking him to be the next Indian Elvis or something ... while the other bunch h

ating his nasal singing from their guts.

I always hated his looks which got complemented with his nasal singing and I hated him all the more. He somehow managed to pose an air of arrogance about himself.  It could be the way he acted as a judge in those music shows or it might as well be his bearded look with a red cap irrespective of whatever dress he might be wearing. In a nutshell i began hating him ... like half of India. 

I have always been a part of the later group. Always hated his songs , well the ones he sang.
I always wanted somebody to tell him that he might be a good music director but then thats where it ends. He should stop singing right now.

But as time passed, I figured that I may have been too judgemental.  Maybe , there is a whole sect of people who love his singing and that if I didnt like his singing , I didnt have to hate him , I could .. maybe just not listen to his songs.

Then I happened to watch him on a interview and I was pretty humbled by his reactions to the questions. He gave pretty simple and straight answers. He didnt have a bit of arrogance like I thought. He had been given a pretty hard time both as a music director beginner and as a singer.
He admitted that he didnt have much talent especially as a singer and that whatever is happening is because of his mom’s blessings. I couldnt agree more , it had to be something beyond his talent because I didnt see much .. not as a singer ... and a person who was humble enough to accept it could not be arrogant.

As time passed more of his songs became immensely popular , especially with the middle class indians and the kids. So try your best to write him down as much as you can but the truth is there is a large sector of people who love his songs and there is absolutely nothing which can be done about it. Not anyone can give 38 hits in his debut  year.

So I would suggest this to the people like me , who do not like his singing , try changing the channel of the TV or the radio ... but bewarned .. there would be a lot of changing of channels which would be required . Love him or hate him .. he is here to stay .
