I have fine, thin hair.
Hence they look quite flat. In order to give them a fuller look, I need to shampoo my hair almost every alternate day or at times daily. Hence I was scouting for a mild shampoo which is not very harsh on my hair. In my quest to find the right shampoo for my hair I tried many brands available in the market, but either they were too harsh or they used to make my hair dry. This also lead to a rapid hair fall. I had to then see a doctor and I thought a trichologist recommendation would be the best option. I had heard a lot from my friends about Dr. Shahid Shamsher, a reputed trichologist in Bangalore.
Then what I took his appointment and started his treatment for my hair fall. Since then at the doctor’s recommendation I have been using Himalaya Protein Shampoo. Initially I was not quite comfortable with the idea of switching on to this shampoo but I thought I had no other option. But with regular use I found it very gentle on my hair.
This herbal shampoo is an excellent blend of herbs containing shikakai, fenugreek and many other rich proteins which nourishes your hair to the fullest. The instructions on almost every shampoo bottle recommend you to use their conditioner after using the shampoo for the best results. But I hate using a conditioner which further makes my hair look flat. So to avoid a conditioner I started oiling my hair a couple of hrs before shampooing them. This made my hair feel soft and healthy. The shampoo nourishes the hair roots gently and also cleanses the scalp leaving it healthy. It is gentle for sure but at the same time is capable of removing the excess oil secretions too.
The shampoo is available in the market in different pack sizes. So if you want to try it but are unwilling to initially invest in a 200ml or a 400ml bottle, you can start with the 6ml sachet.
