Yesterday, along with my sister I went to the Himalaya Book World of Mehdipatnam Branch. We had to buy CBSE books of 7th standard. We selected the books but one book of English literature was not available. We wasted almost 1 hour for searching for 10 books! The books in this mall are not at all organised. However, we proceeded to check out and on the counter we were made to wait for 10 minutes. Then they billed the amount to Rs.3, 000/ Rupees! JUST FOR 10 BOOKS OF 7th Standard!
When enquired about why we were charged this much amount, they told us rudely that we should go to another book mall if we think that they are over charging! So rude! I angrily left off the place and went to a book mall in Kothi the next day. There I purchased the same books for Rs.1800/- only.
At Himalaya, they charge you very much even for a pencil or rubber. Overcharging every customer in the name of quality is a norm here. I would not recommend you to visit this place at all. Instead go to Kothi book market.
