My name is Suresh Kumar Meena from Bhubaneshwar, I purchased Ambition bike (2002 model) from our nieghbours in Jan 2004 when they got transfered to goa. Power is very good, handling and control is also good, it has done 46,200 kms. Here’s mileage report which I measured in Bhubaneshwar city last month only. The engine is very smooth and there is no vibration at all. I have taken many bikes for rides but Ambition is very good and also different. Maintainence is also low. My bike look is not good but I fitted cbz headlight sytem for Rs. 2,500  last year.

From home to office : 12.4 kms ; 4 humps, 3 signals, total gear shifts per 12.4 kms journey : 66
Petrol : IOCL Xtra prem
Amount : Rs 300 = 5.6 litres
5.6 litres lasted 324 kms (preciseon measurement - drop to drop)
For 324 kms no. of gear shifts (approx) : (312/12.4)*66 = 1660 gear shifts
Mileage : 324/5.6 = 58 kmpl
I covered more distance in 4th & 5th gear - it is around 80 percent.

I’m imagining how much will ambition give for few number of gear shifts ( constant 45 kmph speed in top gear). With more than 1500 gear shifts this old Ambition is giving such good mileage. Actually I was surprised when one person here said 30 kmpl on ambition, it must be false statement.

I think Hero Honda is really good~~Desh ki Dhadkan ~~ making good bike like splendors, which is also world’s number-one. Lot of peace of mind even though i bought it second hand. My cousin got his super splendor and it is full peace of mind and also mileage above 65 in Bhubaneshwar city.
Hero Honda is good company and no cheetings and only peace of mind, one should buy peace of mind not worries. Bajaj and TVS bikes are only coming for 20,000 kms afterwards power will come low and also mileage, some many of my friends are telling. Hero Honda is good also no.1, quality is also super. Service stations all doing good work on bikes.
