My family has been riding the Street for 10 years(bought it in 1997). When we decided to buy it, the decision was between Kinetic and Street - as we wanted something that my sister could ride as well.
This is the most comfortable bike to ride. In city conditions of Mumbai it is a breeze to use it with the rotary gears. It has more than enough power to take you anywhere you need. I have taken the bike to Pune from Mumbai with a pillion. To make things more challenging it started to rain and we rode through pouring rain. Though it doesnt have the advantage of riding when on a highway, the mere fact that it could transport two people is testimony of its reliability.
In the city it comes into its own and it is a real breeze to use it in city stop-and-start traffic conditions. If you are looking for something that is easy to ride as a Kinetic but has the power of gears as well then this is the bike. Not having to use the clutch in city conditions is a blessing, and the fact that it picks up in any gear is fantastic for city riding.
After 10 years it gives an average of 55 kmpl. In its entire lifetime it has never been to a garage for more than one day. If you are a type of person that is looking f0r a vehicle that your wife or daughter can ride as well then this is the one.
If you are the type of person that wants to spend the least and get the best - then this is it, especially if you live in a crowded city. It won't satisfy your ego like how a Karizma or Bullet will. But for comfortable, sensible and easy riding - nothing beats it
I cant understand why Hero Honda never advertised it well enough. If advertised well it could easily overtake the market that Kietic has carved for itself, using riding ease as its trump card.
Overall a great and easy vehicle.
