We have been using Hero Honda CD-Dawn (2004 make) for over 6 years now. My father purchased second hand CD-Dawn in October 2007 and we both have rode it for more than 90, 000 km and still there has been no major issues apart from headlights, chain sprocket and engine oil replacements.
Fuel economy that we are getting is close to 70kmpl which is excellent for a 9 year old bike. You can always trust Hero Honda for engine reliability and fuel economy.
Now coming to disadvantages, as the bike is 100cc, crossing 60kmph mark is a bit tough as you can feel that the engine is on tremendous pressure and literally going out of power. The problem is even more with a heavy weight pillion rider.
Also after 50kmph mark there is a lot of vibration on handlebars which you can feel. The last disadvantage is the headlight which is very weak during night time. I have seen this issue in a lot of Hero Honda bikes that the headlight is not efficient, even in some 150cc bikes.
I will recommend this bike to anyone with a low budget who wants good fuel economy and a reliable engine.
