It is more than 2 years since I bought an Achiever, with self start & disk brakes. I have covered more than 22, 000 Kms without any major problems.
What I like: Bike is stable up to 70 kmph. Good pick-up. Good suspension. Highway milage is+50 kmpl. Silent engine. Self starts even after a week. Comfortable ride.
What I don't like: Looks like an out dated Ambition model. Spares are expensive. Big body but Skinny tyres. No scope to put broad tyres. Rear brakes not very effective. No provision for side-box(dickey). False neutrals between gears. Hardly any Achievers seen on the roads. If the model is discontinued, existing bike owners may have to suffer lack of proper service
If the above points are rectified the bike can be relaunched and be a Hit. Dealers are not very confident of this bike and are not pushing it. The company too is not bothered and not advertising it.
