Would we be seeing Salman with a different perspective after his TV entertainer "DUS Ka Dum".
          

          
Everyone who had a imprint of salman as a brat and a bad boy image seem to have surprised seeing this soft spoken child in the tv reality show Dus ka dum. 

The story of Chet Bhagat’s book One Night at the Call Center
that portrays the lives of employees in the call center. He is
one of those writers who illustrate life on the IIT jobs. Actor turned
director Atul Agnihotri has tried to knot the various characters in a
string. Those who have read this novel already would surely have a visual treat watching this movie

Salman and Katrina have a special appearance in the film, while Sohail khan plays the leading role as the character Varun Malhotra. Sharman Joshi, Sharat Saxena,
Ishaa Koppikar, Amrita Arora, Gul Panagos, Arbaaz Khan, Dilip Tahil and
Suresh Menon all play different roles as employees of a call center.
They have a job and at night dreaming of the day in the life.  Narrated as a tale within a tale as a beautiful woman meets the auteur
narrator and promises him a story on the condition that he has to
narrate it further. All the actors do justise to their role.

The story is viewed through Shyam, a call center agent and a tame
team leader. The story revolves around him, his colleagues Varun, Esha,
Radhika, his girl friend Priyanka and an aged Military Uncle. Shyam
rues his break with Priyanka apart from the threat all of them face on
the uncertainty of their future at the center.

The happenings of the night carry the romance and breakup interludes of shyam (sharman Joshi) and Priyanka (Gul Panag) as a flash back. Each character has a story to bemoan. But, the narration runs interestingly because it has the natural flow and the high sense of humor of Chetan bhagat.

Shyam who breaks up with priyanka because her mother does not approve of him. Priyanka loves shyambut
feels that her husband ought to be at least a team leader. His
temporary girl is Shefali. Priyanka (Gul Panag) loves Shyam, but has a tendency to fight with him often... her mom doesn’t help matters. Vroom aka Varun (Sohail Khan) has a fascination for high speed, cars and bikes. He is confused, yet patriotic and is dissatisfied with himself. Esha (Amrita Arora) is very attractive and wants to be a model. She has a crush on Vroom but pretends otherwise. Radhika (Esha Koppikar) is a married woman trying hard to keep things together at her home. Her husband is demanding and is also cheating on her. Military Uncle (Sharad Saxena) is the only elderly person in the team, who handles clients via chatting. He does not speak much. Bakshi> is the upstart manupulative antagonistic boss of the above. He is the typical sleazebag in the office.

After a series of events, mostly unfriendly , the six co workers go off on a drive to a club.. and they meet with an accident.... and they get a call from someone unexpected.

Sharman , Gul and Sharad are tailor made for their roles and do justise to it. Esha, sohail and Amrita are passable. Salman definitely knows how to entertain his audience and his Chemistry with Katrina is very good..

HELLO is more than just a passable fare. The movie not only tragets people who  have read Chetans book but also to those less blessed ones who didnt get time to. Although the book was never designed as a thriller, the promos of the movie make it look like one.. This movie is an amalgamation of entertaining bollywood spices.

People who work in similar conditions would be able to appreciate the story and those who have a normal job and life would feel things have been exagerated.  Some what reminds the earlier attempt John and Jane that shows a call center life in Mumbai directed by director Ashim Ahluwalia. The amount of frustration experienced by a person who works in different shifts doing nothing but sitting in a chair and answering calls or coding for overseas client can be clearly visualized in this movie.

With a time where even the global economy is crumbling and people have to thing thrice to quit a job this is a great movie that atleast portrays the life of  a major industry thriving in India.

I am sure this is far better than Kidnap and Drona so do watch it!!
