We had booked in Feb 1st week for NZ tour for 20th April 2016. Paid booking amount+ air tickets to Heena immediately. Visa was done by Heena only.
After that till march 20th, there was no contact from Heena. We contacted back on march 20th asking for details, and eventually by March 31st we were told the tour is cancelled due to less number of bookings.
Then they said they will accommodate us with another custom tour on same day, but additional amount was demanded since 2 more days were added.
The truth is that they never did any additional booking for our tour, since they got a big custom tour booking for same date and did not have any other tour manager to cover. They do not care for their own commitment.
However, since they did not inform us in time, we had no other option and we agreed. But since the custom tour was done by some family group, we asked Heena staff to take permission from the group. They said they have taken the permission and the group is OK with non-family members accompanying them. We later found the group was never informed which created uncomfortable environment in the tour.
Heena kept demanding more money. They kept lying to us(including their MD and owner Mr. Jeetendra Shah) at every instance. Heena staff is very UNPROFESSIONAL, NON-TRANSPARENT and interacting with them is an HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE.
Heena India Tour guide did not create a healthy and welcoming environment. There were no group activities . Quite often he did not even care to inform us the plans for the day. He went ahead and cancelled our optional activity booking without even informing us(forget asking us). One of our internal flights got cancelled, and we had to spend 1 additional day in Auckland. Tour guide left everything in the hands of air travel company for making food and lodging arrangements, and planned nothing on the day nor cared for what quality food we are getting.
Also, we were told the tour was from Mumbai-Mumbai, but the tour guide joined at Auckland.
The following things were positive:
Food provided by Heena was very good.
Iternary plan was relaxed and enjoyable.
Most hotels provided were of good quality.
However, due to the attitude & lies of Staff and owner, I will NOT recommend Heena tours.
