Beer is my favourite drink. There is nothing like a cold bottle of beer. Have some snacks like fried peanuts, potato chips, may be some ’pakoras’ (hot Indian cookie) and sit down with your bottle, full 700 ml of strong beer. Have just one bottle or may be a little more if you can. Never too much. Take slowly and enjoy fully. Only a bottle of Haywards 5000, strong beer can give you the pleasure and satisfaction you may be looking for. I have tasted many brands of beer, sweet and bitter. But I like only the sweet variety of Lager beer. In the olden days it used to be only London Pilsner or Mohan Meakins Golden Eagle. Now you have all kinds. While in USA, I tried several types; Budweiser, Coors, Miller, Hanekein, and a host of others I do not even remember all the names.

    I want my bottle of beer to give me that, much sought after, mild ’sarur’(feeling of very mild intoxication). You can’t describe that feeling in any other way or words. Haywards 5000 just does that, makes you feel good. It is thoroughly enjoyable without intoxication but with due ’’sarur’’ and a feeling of well being. Long back while returning to Bombay, I stopped in London, Mecca of beer and beer gulpers and of pubs. I had to try the Famed London Pubs. But to my disappointment I did not like the beer I was served. For one they were all bitter and not to my taste. I did not have much money to go on trying but could do so only a couple of times. Beer comes in myriad tastes and strengths and you have to choose and find your brand or brands and will start liking. In USA beer of so many varieties is available. But it is not strong and it is generally bottled in small cans. One may take several cans at a time to feel happy and satisfied. For that matter, in USA more than the canned beers I liked the draft beer. Even though draft beer is not strong but it is very refreshing and is very well enjoyed. But for an evening of light headed feeling you go for Haywards 5000.
