I bought 5 lit Hawkins futura Pres. Cooker in dec’2001 as I heard about it alot. Since I was coming to US, I prefered nonstick cooker over conventional cooker (as U have to clean the utensil yourself. Initially, I was little reluctant to use it. However, once i started using it, I rarely used my older conventional hawkins cooker. There is a trick to get a good use out of it (those who do’nt like this cooker may not be using it correctly). Unlike conventional cooker (where U put whistle from start, you have to wait till steam start coming outside to put the whistle on it). Then sim the heat/gas and wait for 5-10 min as required. It is so easy to clean (no mess as with the conventional cooker). Other thing, U have to make sure is that rubber gasket is in right orientation. I think for a change one should read the instruction manual at least once.
