I booked a Hathway prepaid connection on 6th April, 2008. The guy said it will be started in a day or two and hence took a post-dated cheque of 9th Apriil, 2008. However, nobody turned up for another 20 days after which a guy came and installed the cable and said the model will come in a day or two.  However, today is 21st May, 2008 nobody has come.  Initially they took my call and said it will come in a "day or two" but now they are not even taking my phone.  I took this connection in Kandivli West Mumbai. Anyway the amount of Rs.618/- that they took is anyway paltry but I just want to make sure that others who search for "hathway sucks" on the internet before buying this service, gets one more result of "hathway sucks" courtesy yours truly.  Beware of hathway. Don’t buy Hathway connection.  

Since I found MTNL a bit costly, I was searching for alternative and as a result found that "airtel sucks" and "hathway sucks".  Even if MTNL is costly, it is worth it.  Atleast I haven’t faced any such problem from them. The speed at 2mbps is excellent.   

UPDATE : 30TH JUNE, 2008

Today somebody came from Hathway for Model testing and said somebody will come and fix a new modem within half an hour.  Since "two days" of Hathway mean almost two months, at that rate, I should get the modem in another 9 hours or so. 

If that becomes true, then I will sing "HATHWAY KE GHAR DER HAIN ANDHERI NAHI HAIN".  But that does not mean that their customer services does not SUCK.  Till date, I haven’t got any call back about the status of my application and over and above, I already got a bill for one month without even the same being installed.

Yes, "HATHWAY KE GHAR DER HAIN ANDHERI NAHI HAIN", finally my net was connected the same day.
