India boasts about being the largest economy and all by 2025. If they have to meet that date, they will need to keep up with the rest of the world at least in the current environment. Recently I was visiting Mumbai from NY. At our house we have Hathway Internet servce. Or should I say dis-service. The internet worked 10% of the time at best. When you call to complaint of no service, you get excuses that will challange the common sense of an average person. How can a cable be bad if it was working 2 minutes ago and started working when the internet came on. I have this much sesnse that the internet will not work if there is no light in my house. So if I am calling for internet being off means I have electricity in the house and my computer is on. I went around in a autorikshaw looking for construction. I should have listened to the locals who told me there is no major construction work in the area.

I even called the TOP BOSS’s office many times (Tel. no. (022) 66623333). Well he was never there. If the Boss is never there, than how can one expect any thing getting done properly. This company is an insult to the entire ISP community in India and the world. Here is a lesson for Mr. Jasbir Moyal (the so called absentee Top Boss) from my Business101 class, "If you don’t take care of your customers, someone else will".

I just read that AT&T (American company) is going to India to provide Internet services by the end of this year. Thank God. Maybe soon Indians will have at least one capable service, they know they can count on. Otherwise with companies like Hathway and it’s absentee executives, Indian business and hard working Indians were fighting to reach to the top with one hand tied behind their back. Because businessess don’t rely on postal mail any more, they simply send E-Mails.
