I Hathway broadband connection 5 months back with 50mbps speed and 20GB monthly quota. I pay for services quarterly. Usage is mainly for normal web surfing, Smartphone use only in morning and evening(I never download or watch online movies). The speed I get is average 5-9 Mbps(never even close to 50 mbps) and after 15-18 days of the month speed suddenly crashes to 0.2 to 0.4 MBPS. I enquired with customer care and was aghast with their response that my 20GB quota got over in 15 days. This is impossible since I had never even crossed 5 GB quota with BSNL connection in past 7 years and suddenly when I change to Hathway my usage has climbed to 20GB in 15 days. They never address core problem of faulty metering since thats their cheating policy.
Every month I have to remind them to renew the speed(it never happens spontaneously) once month gets over and FUP(fair usage policy) doesn't apply. I have asked them to disconnect my account which they never address, only option being I stop paying.
I will NEVER suggest "Hathway FRAUDband", may be BSNL is better with whatever known problems we may have. These Hathway guys are big cheats.
