The Worst service you can ever find in Bangalore is Hathway Broadband. We have been using Hathway for our home since a year and half. When we tried to make it into an Official connection, we were not able to connect our VOIP's with Hathway. When called the Customer support of Hathway to activate the Voice Ports which needs to be open in both directions, they informed us that they can do it in 24 to 48 hours. After 2 days, when we followed up, they sent us a form to be filled which mentioned "As per our company policy Rs. 115/- will be charged for Static IP as rental along with plan charges every month, kindly make the payment of 345( 3 months) and revert back by billing the VOIP form in order to check and do the needful"
We paid the required amount and sent the requested form for which no one got back to us. When we followed up after 2 days to check what happened, they informed us that the process is supposed to be done by their back end team who failed to activate due to the lack of information provided to them from Technical Support department. I almost spoke o around 10 people in Hathway technical service till now(URFIYA, SAMEER, MUJIR, ASLAM, ALI, etc) and none of them were able to provide me the exact information till date. Its been more than 10 days and they have not resolved the problem yet. When I inform them that I will go to consumer court to complain about their failure in providing the right service to a consumer, the Technical Support executive asked us to go ahead.
We are going to raise a complaint to the consumer court on the same and would not recommend hathway to any of our friends or business partners who wanted to get a reliable broadband connection.
