I had a very bad experience with Hathway broadband services which I want to share.
Last year(September 2015) when I got my Hathway connection, the personnel who came to my place asked me for an amount of Rs.3254/- which includes the monthly subscription charge of Rs.1254/- and a refundable amount of Rs. 2000/- for the modem and router. I made the entire payment and the personnel gave me a receipt of 1254/- and when I asked him several times for the receipt of 2000/-(which according to me would be required while furnishing details for refund processing), he said "No need of 2000/- receipt, just return the modem and router and furnish the receipt which I've given you and you'll get the refund".
Now on October 2016, I've disconnected my account and returned both the modem and router and have furnished the receipt of 1254/- but they're saying that without the other receipt(2000/-) we cannot process the refund. The Hathway office is hopeless, indisciplined and the manager with whom I've talked was rude and mannerless.
I'm not expecting any refund from them, but all I'm hoping is this shouldn't happen to anyone else. Before paying modem and router charges ask for a receipt or do not take the connection.
