According to me, this book is the best Harry Potter book. (I'm NOT just a fan bubbling with excitement, I really mean it.) It is full of action from the start to the finish and anybody who reads the book is bound to like it.
In this book, Harry Potter is 13 years old and like before, is stuck with the most horrible relatives one can have- the Dursleys- who are his only relatives. He is anything but happy when Aunt Marge (his Uncle Vernon's sister) arrives. His holidays take a turn from bad to worse and finally, he can take it no more. Harry Potter runs away to London from the muggle house he hates, with the help of the knight bus after accidentally blowing up his aunt.
Harry thinks he should have been expelled from his school, but instead, every one is extra-nice to him. And everyone is taking extra-good care of him. One night, after eavesdropping on the Weasleys, he finds out why. Sirius Black ?a mad mass murderer is after his life.
On the way to his boarding school, he has his first encounter with a hooded dementor---creatures that can suck your soul and make you worse thlan dead. His deadly experience is put to an end by his new defence against the dark arts teacher Remus Lupin.
2 other new teachers also join the school apart from Prof. Lupin-Trelawny and even Hagrid! But Draco- Harry's rival gets Hagrid into trouble. Hagrid's hippogriff (big beasts with orange eyes and giant talons) is to be executed.
But, in the end, with the help of Hermione's secret all ends well. The hippogriff escapes and Sirius Black turns out to be an innocent man and Harry's Godfather as well.
If you wanna know more than that, read the book . I cant tell you more than this!
I really like Rowling?s style of writing. She manages to spring a big surprise in every paragraph. Her books are not boring even if you read them a 100 times!
The only thing wrong with her books are that you just cant put them down.
