After my review on Order of the Phoenix, I decided to write a review on my favourite Harry Potter ? Prisoner of Azkaban. Well, why do I like it so? Read on.
Summary
Harry
just turned thirteen. After inflating his nasty Aunt Marge, he runs away and arrives, one month later, at Hogwarts. He has just encountered some Dementors ? creatures who suck out your soul ? on the train to Hogwarts. He experiences some new subjects, Divination with crazy Sibyl Trelawney, and Rubeus Hagrid?s Care of Magical Creatures. Harry discovers that a dangerous wizard named Sirius Black is on the loose.
That is why the Dementors ? also the guardians of Azkaban, wizard prison ? are here. Later, Harry discovers that Black is the one who assisted Voldemort (oh, come on) in killing his parents. But Harry is in for many surprises, and stories meet each other ? the main plot meets Hermione and Ron?s fighting over Crookshanks and Scabbers, and Hagrid?s Buckbeak, the beautiful Hippogriff.
Characters
Harry- We find out more about Harry?s parents. We also discover that Harry makes a mistake ? suspects Sirius instead of Peter Pettigrew ? just like he suspected Snape instead of Quirinus Quirrell.
Hermione and Ron- Humor, which later ties in with the plot. Hermione and Ron fight over their pets, and because of this, Hermione is under even more pressure, as she is already (all her homeworks).
Staff-Snape is mean. The rest of the teachers get a nod. Remus Lupin is a brilliant addition to the story.
All in All
I liked it a lot. JK Rowling proved that she has a brilliant mind, and she can do anything with her characters. There wasn’t any Voldemort scene, though - some action and escaping was missing. I didn?t like the movie, though. It was a bit ? well, more about that in another piece.
