Story:

The Harry Potter Series has been an amazing journey from a 10 year old boy who never knew what being-loved meant, and how powerful it is.

Harry Potter & the Philosopher's(/Sorcerer's) Stone is the first part of the series. It is just the beginning of the wonderful journey. When a 10 year old has lived with his uncle, aunt and cousin for that long, deprived of love and care, how his life changes for a 360 degrees turn when he is told that he is a Wizard and that he is about to join the magical world of Hogwarts.

The First year at Hogwarts also turns out to be the year when Harry gets to know the truth of his existence. The real reason why he has no parents to look after him. He also comes in contact with the most dangerous Wizard of all times - Voldemort(also known as He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named).

It so happens that Harry's parents were killed by Voldemort and his followers and at a very tender age of a few months, Voldemort had even tried to kill Harry. Harry, even though he was a small baby, had escaped the killing curse that Voldemort had hit him with, and Voldemort had escaped his own life with merely a small part of his soul, in fact something even less than his soul.

J.K.Rowling has done a fantastic job in taking us through a bumpy ride, where we only yearn for more and more and more. All her 7 books are totally inter-twined as the 2nd book depends on the 1st, and the 3rd on the 2nd.

If you have not yet read this book, get going and read it fast. you are missing on some really cool stuff.

You can also watch the movie if you do not like reading.

(Though the movie has cut off some of the details that you can get only from reading the book.)
