Story:

Indeed, what makes a Harry Potter any different from the average also-ran whodunit-for-dummies?It is certainly the surprises sprung upon us at every nook and turn by that consummate wizard of impressionable minds. In other words JK Rowling. In this back-breaking 4th novel that runs into a tortuous 636 pages Harry Potter is slowly but surely growing up.He now idolizes athletes. He is quite a hero himself in school(so what's new?) after being chosen school champion by the famed goblet of fire quite inadvertently. He attends the christmas ball in his school Hogwarts where his date and that of bosom pal Ron are two indian girls(witches?) called Parvati and Padma Patil.Hermione who has had her teeth straightened up attends the dance with star Quidditch player from Bulgaria called Viktor Krum. From the way she talks she too has grown up more than we anticipated she would. But what makes this novel wonderful is Harry'a painfully cute uprightness, righteousness whatever you call it.And of course the wonderful use of imgination to explain(?) anything and everything.

The story really. The novel which seems too voluminous even for an average adult revolves around the Triwizard Tournament.Hogwarts magical school plays host as students from other schools Beauxbaton and Durmstrang come visiting. The goblet of fire is supposed to choose three pupils from the three schools who are above the age of seventeen to participate in Triwizard.Someone puts in Harry's name and he too is forced to put his hat into the ring. The other participants are Viktor Krum,Durmstrang,Fleur Delacour,Beauxbaton and the other Hogwarts boy Cedric Diggory.Don't mind, but the outcome of the tournament is ahem... what you would call a foregone conclusion.Nevertheless Harry is honest, brave and supported by his dead parents comes out winner over you-know-who.Read it and be captivated!
