Haridwar literaliy means 'The gateway to Gods.' It is land which is connected with all spiritual activities . which , are necessary in hindu dharm for everybody.
It is one of seven sacred city in India , located in Uttrakhand . lies 214km northeast of Delhi. Thousand of devotees come here every week to bath in the holy water and gather round the Har ki pauri , for the evening Arti.Haridwar is also famous for KUMBH MELA which held after the gap of 12 years and an annual KANWAR MELA is also organised here which is dedicated to LORD SHIVA.
There are lots of other place to visit in Haridwar like Shantikunj , Mansa devi temple , Chandi devi temple , the famous 13th century Dargah , Piran kaliyar and Moti Bazar which is a very old market and a small city in itself.
In the old lane of Haridwar you will get the chance to eat all kind of local food . Mohanji puri wale and the oldest Choti wala Bhojnalay are very famous food place .
