Haridwar is a place in Uttarakhand, it is one of the most popular tourist place in India. It having several adventurous sites all over the Uttarakhand. It is also well connected with Delhi, Dehradun, Nainital, Jashi Math, Auli, Chopta and several Himalayan valley.

I visited Haridwar in 2013 with my family. I the place is very nice but the food and hotels were costly. We went there in the Winter, so we got those at quite cheaper but still it was a good amount we spent there. My father is in Easten Railway so thakfully we got Railway Holiday Home at the lowest price( around 750 for 5 days). There was a lot of place to having food but all of them were very expensive(I had 4 piece Kachuri for 50 rupees). All types of food like rice, dall, roti, butter-bread were available. As it was December, The temperature was about below zero degree but we all enjoyed the temperature. we all visited the Haridwar Harkipawri Grat to for the puja and at the evening we also went there to see the Sandha Arati, that was awesome. I take a round over the ghat and I felt the creation over there, the Murti of the Lord Shiva on the Ganges was one of them. We stayed there for 2 days only. we took a car to visited the side places including Dehradun, Joshi Math, Chopta, Auli. The tour of Chopta and Auli was very adventurous but it was dangerous for us as we went there in winter and at there time there was no rescue team, no camp and most of the road was full of snowfall. we were stuck there for a day and we had to spend all that day without having any food except biscuits. If you visit there at a pick season you can find enough security as there are many military. It is the most memorable tour in my life and I would like to make it once again in future.

Thank you.
