When I bought this phone I thought it was perfect. It was my first touch screen phone, I had always bought the trusty Nokia and wanted a change. It was going well but then the cracks started to show.
Whenever you are receiving a message the screen freezes and sometimes it even has to restart, displaying a message reading "Oops system error has occured.restarting" Its happened countless of times at this stage it slows the whole process down. Texting should be quick and hassle free but this is not the case with htc smart.
The worst point of this phone is the message set up. I began to delete my messages so my memory would free up, as would anybody. After a while people said to me didn't you get my message? I sent it. I couldn't believe it. After you "delete" your messages they get pushed into another folder called deleted items which is like a hidden folder in the phone. Now there is hundreds of messages in the folder and you must delete them individually by pressing a clear button. this takes at least half a minute if not more for every message. I've been deleted them for months but it's just like a bottomless pit.
It's NOT like like any other normal phone where you get a notification saying message memory is full please delete messages and then then the messages comes immediately through. You will NEVER recieve the message on this htc phone if five mins or so have passed and you didn't see the notification on time. So many plans and misunderstanding and lost conversations have been the result of this stupid system.
My phones always last me at least 2 or 3 years but this is just 9 months old and I'm seriously considering finding a replacement for it soon. A good ole trusty Nokia.
