I had terribly bad exp with HDFC either with the Personal loans or insurance.

I took a insurance from HDFC SLIC 3 years ago from their branch. I did not take from any third party person. Even the representatives appointed by the bank are giving false information. While taking the policy the person said that if I don’t like this policy I can pay for 3 years and after that you can cancel your policy and take back your money.


After three years when i requested for surrender, they said that your first year premium will not be returned. I was shocked to hear that since the person from whom I took the policy did not inform me about this.

For name sake they registered a complaint for giving me false statements and after 1 month the date of complaint they came back and told me the same story from first.

These people cheat a lot this is not my first exp with HDFC they try to take away money from customers where ever possible
