I had been using Sharekhan for trading for last 8 years. After changing my Status to NRI, I opened an Demat Account with HDFC Securities as I had an NRI(bank) Account with HDFC Bank. Firstly it took 3 months for opening the Account. The Account opening charges are high. Subsequently the Brokerage Structure works out to be one percentage. which converts to 2 percentage for buy and Sell of each Share that I trade.
To add to the woes is the pathetic website maintained by HDFC Securities. The Site never works when you want to trade.
To Sum up all my experience, I would suggest please stop trading rather than open an account with HDFC Securities.
