I bought a policy by mistake. Yes it was by my mistake. A marketing staff from HDFC Bank at Coimbatore convinced me to buy a life insurance policy. He told me that the policy would yield interest more than what a Recurring Deposit(RD) can yield.
After few months or so, I came to know that I would get less than what I was going to pay. I decided to close the policy and talked with the staff in the company. They told that I could close only after paid-up period(3 years).
I continued paying money for 3 years. I totally paid Rs. 1, 78000. I expected that I would get same amount or close to that amount when I surrendered my policy. However the staff informed me that I can get only 93, 000.
I am going to loss 85, 000. I think that this loss is due to my bad karma in my past lives. The karma is applicable to HDFC also.
