On 2007, my mother purchased a policy from a HDFC Life called "HDFC Children's Double Benefit Plan"(policy number: 11040333), with a quarterly premium of 550/- for a tenure of 10 years. On that time, they have assured us that we will get at least 40, 000/- matured amount after 10 years. But after paying premium for 10 long years, and a total amount of 22, 000, now we came to know that the matured amount is only 22, 300
Can you imagine? You're getting 300 as interest/extra after paying 22, 000 in 10 years!
Also, I would like to share the customer service. A representative came to our address, collected cancel cheque and other documents for the maturity amount disbursement. But she did not bother to upload the documents in system in 3 weeks. So I'll have to go long way to visit a HDFC Life branch to submit the documents!
Think twice before investing your hard earned money, they are simply cheater!
