Bad Experience with HDFC ERGO General Insurance

I am having HDFG ERGO General insurance for last two years. Two years back I got my new HDFC credit card. At that time I got customer care call from hdfc ergo person. He explained everything and I agree to take the policy, with in 10 minute I got call for confirmation and I confirmed too. From next month on wards they started to detect amount from my card. Customer care person told that soon you will get documents to your mailing address. I didn’t get anything from them for one month.


Then I called back to that customer care person and complained about not receiving any documents. He asked me to wait and checked details he told that from our side we sent documents to you sir.  May be any issue in courier side. After long conversation he convinced me that he will send the documents again. After one month from that conversation too I didn’t get any documents. Not even IT exemption form to fill. I tried two or three months then left that. 2 months back I got call and they are telling your policy going to expire and it will get automatic renewal. I got tense and contacted customer care person.


Explained everything and he said sorry sir it won’t happen, it rare case sorry to trouble you. Please do renewal sir. I will take care personally and complete your policy process 100% then he gave his number too. I accepted to renew it. Three months gone now. Still I didn’t get any documents. It’s my mistake to believe that person and renewed the policy. Please aware of these things if your go with HDFC ERGO insurance.
