HCL''s after sales service is very poor. Just shortly after purchasing the computer I realised that the TFT Monitor displays a distorted barrel image of one's digital camera photograph. I visited the company's office with my complaint and the head of customer service told me, that the barrel effect distortion occurs in all TFT 17 inch rectangular monitors. This is untrue because Hewlett Packard's TFT 17 inch monitor has no distortion of digital photographs.
Again, very soon after purchasing the HCL Beanstalk, the mic stopped working, when I tried to speak on Skype. The hard disk also failed with all my data, which I lost and cound not retrieve. The hard disk was replaced by HCL because my computer was in the warranty period. But they took over a month to replace it.
After the warranty period they do come to service the computer and do not assist in any way.
